Exercise, dance and movement to music

MUSIC can calm and relax us or lift our spirits and energy. Human beings connect strongly with RHYTHM.  Just as our heart beats to the tune of life so the beat of the music guides our body and soul as we MOVE.

Moving our bodies to music is for everyone no matter what age or level of mobility. We can release stress, let out energy, express ourselves, smile and laugh. We become flooded with happy endorphins and connect easily with others while our fitness levels increase!!

DANCE can be a lively, energetic workout where every muscle in the body benefits from the varied exercises.  The Cardio and Pulmonary systems of the body are engaged naturally, strength and balance improve, cognitive function and memory improve and our mood is boosted. People who dance regularly enjoy higher levels of self- confidence and self- esteem. DANCE IS THE NUMBER ONE FORM OF EXERCISE FOR OVERALL HEALTH!

GENTLE MOVEMENT TO MUSIC IS ALSO A FORM OF DANCE. People living with chronic health conditions, neurological, autoimmune and limited mobility can enjoy all of the above benefits with modified movements which can be done either seated in a chair or standing.

We have music- based movement and dance classes to suit all levels of ability also ensuring that each session works to improve muscle mass, strength and balance often with a little, appropriate resistance training and always with an element of fun! Flexibility and co-ordination increase, and memory ability is enhanced.
